Possibilities of Print
Powerful Possibilities of Print: An Experimental Reading and Discussion Series
Why do we write things down?
Why is this important?
What is important about holding tangible information and ideas?
What are some of the things written and printed on paper that you have kept and have impacted you?
An experimental reading and discussion— and sharing— series that aims to explore how print has left a mark or impression on you, personally and creatively. With a focus on the power and importance of printed materials— anything including but not limited to diaries, journals, news pamphlets, magazine ads, books, street signs, etc.— we want to explore how the act of distributing and discovering physically written and printed matter affects the flow of ideas and knowledge in an artist’s life, practice, and community.
We are collaborating with Read/Write Library, an organization that values community members' ability and importance in co-creating a city's story and identity, to bring a new and exciting way to share and learn about print based works.
